Peter McLoughlin is a Principal and Founder of Boston Property Ventures Capital, LLC (BPC).

Peter began his career in 1996 as a commercial lender at GE Capital. From 1997-1999, he was an analyst at CIBC World Markets (New York) in its Mergers and Acquisitions Group, where he focused on financial modeling, valuation, and the acquisitions and sales of small-to-medium-sized companies ($20MM – 1BN). Peter then served as Vice President of Datek Online Holding Corp. from 1999-2000, where he assisted in raising $800 million in private funding and the development and execution of an international expansion strategy.

A Quincy native, Peter returned to the Boston area in 2001 to found Boston Property Development, LLC and begin acquiring real estate. Since then, he has been the managing partner in the acquisition, construction, and development of over $300MM in residential and commercial units in the Greater Boston Area.

Peter graduated fourth in his class from Northeastern University, from which he holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting. Peter is a regular speaker at regional real estate seminars and forums, including Marcus & Millichap, Harvard University, and many local real estate investor associations. He regularly volunteers his real estate development and investment expertise to Heading Home, Inc., a Cambridge-based nonprofit devoted to ending homelessness, and serves on the organization’s fundraising committee. In addition, Peter is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Quincy After School Child Care, Inc., a nonprofit organization providing programs on education, nutrition, and health for Quincy children, as well as Board Member of Titus Sparrow Park in Boston’s South End, where he devotes his time to fundraising efforts.
